Participants’ expositions and operating specifications will remain in place until they’re due for renewal, or until an operator seeks an amendment for some other reason. That’s when they’ll need to be updated to reflect the new Act.
If a certificate expired on or before 6 April 2025, it would have been processed under the Civil Aviation Act 1990 and a decision made before 4 April 2025, provided the application was made in the normal timeframes.
Those that expire on or after Monday, 7 April 2025 will be processed under the CA Act 2023.
The Civil Aviation Rules under the Civil Aviation Act 2023 were published on the CAA on 5 April 2025, when the new Act came into effect.
