Deferred participation levies

If, from the beginning of July in any year, an aircraft is not operational for three months or more, its owner can apply to defer the aircraft’s participation levy.

Reasons to apply to defer could be because the aircraft is being repaired or restored, or under maintenance. To defer the levy (or have it reinstated) complete one of the forms below and send it in plenty of time for us to action it before the invoice for the levy is issued. That is 1 July each year.

Operators will still be invoiced for the annual registration fee.

Aircraft cannot be flown while the payment of their participation levy is deferred.

The table below shows aircraft with deferred participation levies, because they are inoperable. The owners of these aircraft need to pay the levy before the aircraft can fly again.
