Every holder of a New Zealand aviation licence or certificate must nominate a physical address in New Zealand as their ‘address for service’. This is required by law, so that critical safety information can be sent to participants.
If a document holder is based overseas, they must still nominate a physical address in New Zealand - for example, the address of a lawyer, a family member, or an aviation organisation.
A separate postal address can also be held, but some things like Vector magazine will only be delivered to New Zealand postal addresses.
