If you want a medical certificate decision to be reviewed, you can ask for a medical convener to be appointed.

This must be done within 20 days of a decision being made. Depending on the complexity of the medical issues involved, and the requirement to consult other specialists, convener reviews can take a significant amount of time to complete.

Please note: Convener reviews are usually paper-based, although there may be exceptional circumstances where a Ministry of Transport appointed medical convener considers it is necessary for some of the process to be in-person.
