Cabin safety contributes to the prevention of accidents and incidents, and protection of passengers and crew. It increases survivability in the event of an emergency situation.

Related rules

Cabin safety focuses on rules relating to cabin operations, operators procedures and documentation, cabin crew training and standards, human performance, design and manufacturing, equipment and furnishings on board the aircraft, and the operational environment.

It also includes proactive safety and risk management including health and safety hazard identification.
